The Ridiculous “Side Quest”
I know this will sound convoluted. But stay with me…
For the past few months (as recommended by numerous peers and creative professionals), I’ve been submitting myself for grants, artist residencies, and other such opportunities. I’ve received rejection letter after rejection letter. Which is fine. That’s to be expected. But as someone who likes to also think outside the box, I decided to auction off a stupid domain name I own on eBay.
Why? Why not. It’s all for fun. And this helps to create my own little grant to help finish the book. Art Heist Movers was some other joke idea I had years ago for an obviously fake business. And if the idea is really that funny, maybe someone will buy it. Or maybe I’ll simply sell some goofy merch along the way. Every little bit helps.
Art Heist Mover T-shirts are available on Etsy.
The domain name itself is listed on eBay.
Capitalism, don’t fail me now! The future of “Death of a Hot Tub Salesman” might depend on it. Or at least… the extra money would help.
Steps to Support the Project
1
2
Engage with Shawn on social media to share your thoughts and excitement about this project.
4
Do you have to buy the domain name: ArtHeistMovers.com? No, that would be crazy! Someone might buy it, though, and all you have to do is simply believe that it’s possible!
5
Tell your friends about his Secret Time Travel Meetings. That’s still a thing that people like.
